Accuplacer Scoring System

The Accuplacer is a tool designed for academic advisers to place students in appropriate leveled courses. As a general guide, the following scores typically correspond with entry courses for student's first year at 威尼斯人娱乐城. The Accuplacer scoring is based on a 200-300 scale.

Math Placement Domains

Unlike Reading Comprehension and Writing Skills, there are 3 "placement domains" for Math: Next Gen. Arithmetic, Next Gen. Quantitative Reasoning and Statistics, and Next Gen. Advanced Algebra Functions. Students start in the "middle" domain with the Next Gen. Quantitative Reasoning and Statistics, a score from 200-238 will then present the Next Gen. Arithmetic domain and a score of 275-300 will then presented the Next Gen. Advanced Algebra and Functions domain. The score report printed out at the completion of the placement exam will indicate in which math course a student should register.
